Some tips for a correct separate waste collection

Separate waste collection is the best way to preserve and maintain natural resources. This is for our advantage, of our environment and above all for future generations.
The separate waste collection should be a need put in place by all of us with the knowledge that every action produces a pollution unsustainable to nature, which does not produce anything that does not fall within the natural circle of life, nothing that is "waste."
Separate waste collection is a commitment that can give good results, and limit the ecological impact of waste, only if ALL we strive to separate our waste properly, avoiding to end up into landfills. Every year millions of tons of waste end up into the landfills of the world, and every year new of them are opened, polluting forever thousands of hectares of our land. The well differentiated waste can instead be shipped to processing facilities that allow to retrieve many materials, with the dual advantage of not enter pollutants in the environment and conserve the increasingly scarce and expensive raw materials.

Any refuse has its place. And it's always INTO a BIN.

The GLASS must be introduced in the appropriate GREEN BELL BINS.
The containers should be emptied if possible (eg. Jars of sauces or preserves, etc ..), the more clean are less water will serve to the establishments to clean up the waste, so a large energy and environmental savings!
If possible avoid to intoduce caps and avoid using bags or boxes.
In the GLASS do not introduce PLASTIC, PAPER, ORGANIC, GENERAL WASTE, BULKY or HAZARDOUS.
Not all materials that "seem" glass are GLASS.
The ceramic glass (such as dishes and ramekins for oven of Pyrex), ceramic and porcelain (plates, cups, etc ...) are not glass but inert materials that melt at higher temperatures than glass.
The crystal items (glasses, bottles, etc ...) contain lead, which is highly polluting, as well as light bulbs, neon and mirrors contain hazardous and noxious substances.
A fragment of these materials within the recyclable glass can frustrate the recycling process, because pollute and cause flaws in the products re-created from the fusion of glass, which are so destined to break, and therefore lead to a waste of resources and energy.

PAPER must be introduced in the appropriate WHITE BINS.
PAPER waste should be private of adhesive tape, staples and spirals and covers or PLASTIC films. Packaging, boxes and cartons should be compressed to take up less space and make the most of the collection of waste.
Do not introduce dirty paper, so no to all those papers with residues of food (pizza cartons, oven paper, food papers for slicing and cheese, etc...) or papers dirty with earth or other chemicals (paints, solvents , etc ...).
Should not be introduced in PAPER even paper towels used and the receipts, because they are made with materials that make it difficult recycling.
In the PAPER should not be introduced PLASTIC, GLASS, ORGANIC, GENERAL WASTE, BULKY or HAZARDOUS.
There are many types of "paper", but not all are genuine recyclable PAPER, like tinfoil, wallpaper, photo paper, sand paper, carbon paper, etc ... do not be fooled by the name!
Properly recycled PAPER saves a lot of energy and resources, and above all very much reduce the amount of trees cut down for its production.

HAZARDOUS and BULKY waste are collected at home for free.
The withdrawal takes place on the 2nd Tuesday of every odd month, so in JANUARY, MARCH, MAY, JULY, SEPTEMBER and NOEMBER, from 1 to 7pm.
You need to book the free pickup at least 7 days in advance by calling the Municipality at 0142 947 101.
Each user can expose for withdrawal up to 4 pieces each time.
Alternatively, is periodically made available for a free conferral a container, usually on Saturdays from 8.00 am to early afternoon, the alerts when the container is available are generally hung along the streets and in ecological areas few days before.

The ORGANIC waste should be placed in the appropriate BROWN BINS within paper or biodegradable bags, or in your home green compost bin (if required). Place in your compost only small quantities of dry leaves, grass and twigs and cheese and leftover meat crusts, shells and bones of fish, molluscs and crustaceans, which in large quantities may make it difficult the composting process.
Into the ORGANIC should not be introduced paper towel dirty of detergents, cigarette butts, diapers, powder, and vacuum bags. The DEAD BATTERIES and the EXPIRED MEDICINES must be introduced in the appropriate GREY CONTAINERS.
The USED CLOTHING must be introduced in the appropriate WHITE CONTAINER. Garments must be in good condition and clean, and can be packed in bags or plastic bags. The shoes should be possibly conferred paired.
Do not introduce soiled clothing or rags, or mattresses.

Everything else is UNDIFFERENTIATED.
